60th children’s day Health check-up

Pokhara, Bhadau 30 Gate. On the occasion of 60th National Children’s Day, an identification and health check-up camp for children with physical disabilities was completed. Health check-up of about 100 children has been done in the camp. Health camps organized by Disabled Friends Group, Disabled Children’s Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre, Banepako, Pokhara Municipal Corporation, Social Development Department and Mahanagar Bal Manch have been completed.

The camp treated children with congenital malformations, the two polar limbs stuck together, fractures, bones fused, bones that became loose and weak, joints that had pain and hearing problems, children with pus coming from their bones and children suffering from TB disease. In the same way, the children of the camp, who had stiff muscles or were stretched, various parts of the body were bent or hissed, were in need of assistive devices and prostheses, had cleft lip, palate and other orthopedic problems, were given health check-up by Paka Shalikram Timilsina, who informed about the Disability Children’s Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre.

While inaugurating the camp, Deputy Chief of Pokhara Municipal Corporation Manjudevi Gurule said that the camp was easy for the children with physical form and disability in health checkup. She explained that the metropolis is serious about providing easy health care to children suffering from physical problems, including the obligation to undergo treatment and testing. Pokhara Municipal Corporation Ward Number 8 Ward President Rudranath Baralco presided over the programme, Pokhara Metropolitan Social Development Major Branch Director Nirmala Sharma and Women Development Officer Belkumari Gurungle spoke.

Similarly, fruitful distribution was made to the children living in the child improvement home in Pokhara Municipal Corporation ward number 18. On the occasion of 60th National Children’s Day, flowers were distributed to the children living in Pokhara Municipal Corporation, Social Development Mahaskhale, Sudhar Grihama. On Sunday, Deputy Chief of Pokhara Municipal Corporation Manjudevi handed over Gurugram Children’s Home to Waden Ajay Kshetriya Phalful.

On the occasion of the day, she visited the juvenile home and said that the need there was discussed. He told that the necessary materials for the improvement house will be handed over after some time and now the need has been discussed and followed up with the council. Warden of the Child Care Home, Ajay Kesile, said that there is a problem of keeping the children in the Child Care Home more than its capacity and requested for cooperation for the same, saying that there is lack of tables and chairs for eating in the metropolis. There are 110 children living in the rehabilitation home. Waden explained that the correctional facility had a capacity of 60 people.
