Ghandruk Padmarg can become a hub: Ekyap Chief Kadaria

Pokhara: Dr. Ravin Kadriyale, head of Annapurna Conservation Area (Ekyap) Pokhara, has said that Ghandruk Padmarg can become a hub.Speaking after inaugurating the second annual general meeting of the Ghandruk Tourism Management Committee located at Kaskiko Annapurna Municipality – 10÷11, the head of Ekyap Pokhara said that the Kadriyale Ghandrukbat footpath can become a hub by becoming a destination.

Ekyap Pramukh Kadriyale Ghandrukma gave suggestions to the tourists including the number of settlements, new tourist destinations and special attention day for wildlife conservation.’Ghandrukama can increase the number of tourists and settlements along with new tourist destinations, Ghandrukalai can develop culturally, yet tourist arrivals can increase’, he said, ‘We have not only cut down the Herre in the form of destruction of wildlife but can also promote its conservation, Chitwanama Elephant and Chitwa can be visited by tourists like here. Tourists can be brought to see the wild animals found there.

Recently, he urged the community along with Chanakho Hun to control the forest cover as the cause of forest cover has a direct impact on the tourism sector as well as the climate. Similarly, he said that branding of aloe and local produce found in Ghandruk and Annapurna areas is necessary.

Kadriyale told Ghandruk to be financially strong so that he can get branding including local raksi, sukuti and local production.Similarly, Ward President of Annapurna Municipality-10, Gautam Gurungle told Ghandruk that he has been working in coordination with the local government, Ekyap and local people for development.

In the programme, Jagansubba Gurungle, former head of Annapurna Conservation Area, Ekyap Area Office, Ghandruk, mentioned that he has been coordinating with the local people since the establishment of the conservation area for the development and conservation of Ghandruk.

In the general meeting, Secretary of Ghandruk Tourism Management Committee Maya Pun Thapale presented the annual report and Treasurer Krishna Gurungale presented the economic report.Similarly, in the General Assembly, Annapurna Conservation Area area office, former head of Ghandruk, Janagsubba Guru, Ghandruk Tourism Administration Committee, Suwas Guru, the owner of Hotel Bridge, and Amrit Gurunlai, the director of Hotel World Bhilez, for paying the fees to the Nepali guide (potter) were honored.

At the general meeting, President of Tamu Pyelhu Sangh Ghandruk, Prem Gurung, Founder of Lama Amrit Foundation, Amrit Gurugle gave suggestions to Ghandruk to move forward in a unified manner in tourism promotion along with development.The general meeting was presided over by Ghandruk Tourism Administration Committee Chairman Vikram Gurung, welcomed by member Ramkumari Pariyar and conducted by Secretary Maya Pun Thapa.
